Action

Paradent spray is unique combination of vitamin C, propolis and essential oils of medicinal herbs and has powerful antimicrobic, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.
Paradent spray is a special formula designed for the treatment of gum inflammations and as an auxilliary remedy for paradentosis.

Paradent manifests its anti-inflammatory effect by strengthening the capillary wall and diminishing edema and bleeding of gums. The flavonoids of propolis also have anti-oxidant properties; they prevent the binding of vitamin C to metals and protect the intercellular substance. Paradent covers the damaged mucosa of the gums with a thin film and increases the mitotic activity of the fibrocytes. This film keeps to the gums for 10 hours (it can be removed only by brushing the teeth), so it gives complete protection of the gums and the periodont during night. The local anaesthetic and trophic-granulating effect relieves pain and regenerates the mucosa of the gums.

The antibacterial effect of Paradent is directed towards 74 strains of bacteria, including Streptococcus sanguis and Streptococcus mutans. Paradent inhibits the enzyme activity and growth of the above mentioned oral bacteria and directly stops dental caries and the formation of tooth plaque.

The antiviral effect is directed towards the Herpes Simplex and Herpes Zoster viruses, as well as towards many pathogenic Candida strains.

Apimel products contain an optimal concentration of propolis extract, which has an atibacterial effect on 74 strains of staphylococci:

Macedonian propolis µg/ml
Minimum inhibitory concentration against Staphylococcus aureus 62.5
Balsam (extract with 70% ethanol) 55.0%
Total phenolics 24.2%
Total flavones and flavonols 8.0%
Total flavanones and dihydroflavonols 4.9%

The essential oils enhance the antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect of Paradent; in addition, they refresh the breath and quickly eliminate unpleasant odor in the mouth. Paradent does not disturb the natural flora in the mouth cavity and does not cause resistance in bacteria.
